Terms Of Service
Effective: October 24, 2026
These terms cover your use of botsrated.com, its API, its MCP server and its A2A endpoint (together, "BotsRated"). By using BotsRated, you agree to them. If you use it for a company or through a software agent, you agree for that company or for whoever runs the agent.
What BotsRated Is
BotsRated checks paid AI services (x402 sellers on Base) and remote MCP servers. It publishes measured facts about them as signed receipts: whether they answered, how fast, and whether the price and payment address matched their listing. BotsRated is in beta. Features, data and limits may change.
Facts, Not Advice
What we publish are measurements taken at a specific time, with a link to the signed receipt behind each one. They are not a guarantee, endorsement, rating of honesty, or financial, legal or security advice. A service can change right after we check it. Some differences, such as a price that depends on the input, are legitimate. You and your agent decide whether to pay a service. We aren't part of that deal and aren't responsible for what any service does.
Who May Use BotsRated
You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding contract. You may not use or pay BotsRated if you are on a U.S. sanctions list or in a country or region under comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or to break sanctions or anti-money-laundering laws. Payments can be declined by the payment facilitator's screening.
Free Use
The free preflight check and the public pages are free. Each client (one IP address, or one IPv6 /48) also gets 100 checks and 10 reports free per UTC day. Free use also has an overall daily limit. We may change or pause free use to protect the service.
Paid Calls
Paid calls cost the price shown on /pricing when you call. Your x402 client pays in USDC on the Base network. The payment settles only if the call succeeds; error answers (HTTP 400 or above) are never charged. Each payment is for that one call. We hold no balance, credit or stored funds for you.
Plans
Alert plans and data plans are bought with one x402 payment per 30-day period, at the price shown on /pricing when you buy.
- A plan starts right after the payment settles and ends 30 days later.
- Plans don't renew on their own. To continue, buy another period.
- Cancelling stops delivery. Payments for a plan period are final and not refunded, except when a plan wasn't delivered because of a fault on our side (for example a payment settled but the plan never activated) or where the law requires a refund. In those cases, write to us with the transaction ID and we'll send the refund to the wallet that paid.
- Your access token is shown once. Keep it safe: anyone with the token can use or cancel the plan. We can't recover a lost token.
- Alerts go only to the webhook you register. You're responsible for keeping that webhook working. We may pause delivery to a webhook that keeps failing.
- Rate limits for each plan are listed on /pricing.
For custom volume or bulk delivery, write to botsrated@gmail.com. Any custom deal is agreed in writing.
If a paid call or plan didn't work because of a fault on our side, write to us with the transaction ID. We'll look at it in good faith.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- get around the free limits, rate limits or payment, for example by rotating addresses to collect more free calls;
- attack, overload, probe for weaknesses in or disrupt BotsRated (security research is welcome under our security policy);
- use BotsRated to break the law or to harm others;
- present our data as saying something it doesn't, or remove the receipt links when you republish it in a way that misleads.
We may block traffic that breaks these terms.
Using Our Data
You may use, copy and republish our measurements, signed receipts and the dataset at /dataset.json, including for commercial use. Please name BotsRated as the source, keep the receipt links, and don't present our data as saying something it doesn't.
Some fields come from others: service names, descriptions and listing details are written by the services themselves or come from public directories (Coinbase CDP Bazaar, Agentic.Market, 402index, x402-list and the Official MCP Registry). We don't grant any rights in that third-party content; it stays under its owners' terms. Data from x402-list is licensed under CC BY 4.0; we filter and reformat it. When you republish it, credit it the way x402-list asks: "Data: x402-list.com (CC BY 4.0)".
The open-source SDKs and receipt specification at github.com/botsrated/botsrated are under the MIT license. The hosted service itself isn't open source.
Sellers And Servers We List
We list services from public directories and registries. Listing doesn't mean the service endorses us or that we endorse it. If you run a listed service and think a record is wrong, use the disputes page. Paying BotsRated never buys a better result, rank or badge. Paid alert plans make us check the services they cover more often; those checks use the same method and are published the same way.
BotsRated sells paid checks of its own, and some services we list offer similar checks. They get exactly the same automated checks as everyone else. We never list or rank BotsRated itself.
Availability
We try to keep BotsRated running, but we don't promise any uptime unless a custom agreement says so. We may change, pause or stop any part of BotsRated.
No Warranty
BotsRated is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.
Limit Of Liability
As far as the law allows, BotsRated isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses. That includes losses from paying, or not paying, a service you looked up. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid BotsRated in the 30 days before the claim.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and keep dated copies of earlier versions, available on request at botsrated@gmail.com. If you keep using BotsRated after a change, you accept the new terms.
